THE surge of Covid cases in Teignbridge continues.

Between March 5 and 11, 1,057 people had a confirmed positive test result, according to the latest Government figures.

This shows an increase of 84.1% compared to the previous seven days.

Between March 11 March 2022, there have been three deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports that between February 28 and March 6, 38 people went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows an increase of 46.2% compared to the previous seven days, but no-one was on a mechanical ventilator on March 8.
