A ONE-DAY underwater photography competition is taking place tomorrow, June 29, and applications are open now.

Enthusiasts are invited to take a photo on that day within the Torbay coastal area to enter the Torbay British Sub Aqua Club ‘Splash-In’ competition.

A spokesperson for the club said: ‘This is our third year running this exciting photographic competition. Photographers from all over the South West come and take part.

‘The underwater world of Torbay is a fascinating place with wildlife ranging from beautiful pink fan coral to seahorses, cuckoo wrass and colour-changing cuttlefish.

‘The competition is open to anyone who takes photos of the underwater world, inclduing scuba divers, swimmers and snorkelers.’

Competitors have to take their photos between 00.01 hours and 16.30pm on June 29.

All the submitted photos will be viewed that evening at Living Coasts, where a buffet followed by the winner’s award presentation will take place.
