MUSICAL offerings ranging from Beethoven to the blues were showcased at Teignmouth Community College's summer concert.
No fewer than six different choirs, bands and orchestras, not to mention soloists, presented a diverse programme of world, classical and popular music.
Head of music Patrick Saturley said: 'This year we tried to get a different feel and due to the expanson of the orchestra able to give it a different flavour.
'We've got a 35-40-piece orchestra on a good day, which is really great for a college our size, so we included a lot of instrumental pieces.'
A Little Night Music kicked off with a high energy samba number played by Samba Latida, the college Samba band.
Soloists included Year 7 student Ellie Lumb, who performed Fur Elise, and the Junior Choir sand Only You in unaccompanied harmony.
Mr Saturley said that rock band Muse's huge success is proving to be an inspiration to many youngsters and cementing Teignmouth's reputation as a musical town.
Its three members attended the college.
On July 19, the college holds its a summer rock concert, with the band TCCC Rocks taking the stage.
