PUPILS at Starcross Primary School have been getting hands-on with creativity and sustainability through an inspiring recycled art workshop, made possible thanks to The Helen Foundation and Daisi.
The workshop encouraged children to explore art through recycled and reclaimed materials, sparking their imagination while reinforcing the importance of environmental responsibility.
Guided by professional artist Alistair Lambert, pupils experimented with texture, form, and colour, transforming everyday discarded items into a recreation of the school logo.

A school spokesman said: ‘The session gave children the opportunity to develop creative confidence, problem-solving skills, and teamwork, while also learning how art can play a role in caring for the planet.
‘The resulting artwork reflects the collaboration of the pupils and a shared message about sustainability.’
The Helen Foundation supports Teignbridge schools through funding arts-based workshops, employing a wide range of Daisi registered artists.
