IT has been a long time coming, but work on the £80,000 Teignmouth skatepark is about to start and boarders are leaping for joy.

Specialists will move in on Monday to begin converting the old seafront paddling pool into a top- notch facilities for the youngsters of the town.

The project has been mooted for more than 30 years and many feared it would never happen.
