RENOWNED local outfit the Back Beach Boyz are on the lookout for two new members to join their band.
The sea shanty and maritime folk band, which has been performing in and around Teignmouth for more than ten years, have said goodbye to a couple of its members, and as such a pair of vacancies have opened up.
'We find ourselves with potential vacancies for two new members and we would like to invite expressions of interest from people with truly deep bass voices, but who can also effortlessly reach the higher vocal range of Baritone' a spokesman for the Back Beach Boyz said.
Other qualities being sought by the Boyz are an easy relaxed manner, the ability to fit in well with an established group and a strong sense of comradeship - the ability to also play the fiddle would be a bonus also.

Prospective members are asked to provide brief details of their background and, ideally, links to video and / or audio files of themselves singing.
The Back Beach Boyz practice once a week, typically on a Tuesday, but this may change to a Thursday: 6pm for a beer and a chat and then actual singing practise begins from around 7pm until 8.30pm.
The group perform at various events and raise money for charity: their next gig is this coming Saturday, July 15, at Teignmouth RFC for the club's annual Summer Festival.
