BONFIRE night may be a little late in Shaldon this year, but it should worth the wait.

The parish council is organising a Fuy Fawkes and firework special on Noember 7.

The fun, which is sponsored by local businesses, begins with a street market at 3.pm, followed by a lantern parade at 6pm, a Guy Fawkes competition at 6.15pm, and the grand firework display from 7.15pm.

Clean wood can be taken to the bonfire between 10am and 3pm.
