A SEXUAL Risk Order has been granted against a Bovey Tracey man.

Paul Brearley, aged 68, of Moretonhampstead Road, had opposed the order being made by South and West Devon Magistrates' Court.

The court granted the order to cover until December 15, 2024.

Among other restrictions the order means he must not have any contact or communication with a child under 16 without the approval of police. And he must not use any device capable of accessing the internet unless he has notified the police VISOR team, and that it has the capacity to retain the history of internet use and he must make the device immediately available for inspection by the police.

He was required to register with Newton Abbot Police in accordance with the Sexual Offences Act for two years.
