TEIGNMOUTH’S iconic seaside letters have been given their annual spruce up.
The popular landmark letters at Sprey Point, along the South West Coast Path, are seen by thousands of rail passengers and walkers along the railway route into the town.
This year, one of the letters has been given special treatment thanks to local artist Sam Lock who added a sun and wave design to the letter O.
Volunteers gathered to help repair the weather-worn letters before they were painted fresh for the summer.
Situated along the main railway line, the Toblerone-shaped triangular prism which has stood there for decades.
Teignmouth councillor David Cox was among the group.
He said: ‘A big thank you to all the local residents who helped paint the sign.’
