A PRIMARY school in Teignbridge has won an award for providing special care to children and young people with Type 1 diabetes.

Shaldon Primary scooped the Diabetes UK ‘Good Diabetes Care in School Award’ for the excellent support it provides to students with the condition.

The package in place helps those affected to manage their diabetes safely and allow them to be included in all school activities.
