FLORAL tributes from Kingsteignton School were laid in London in remembrance of Her Majesty the Queen.

Children at the school’s after school club helped to make the decoration under the guiding hand of club leader and qualified florist Lucy Evans.

They used purple verbena, grown in the school grounds, with carnations and gypsophila to create the bouquet.

Teaching assistant Stacey Vanstechelman, who was travelling to London with her son for the weekend, offered to take the flowers to lay in the capital.

The tribute was placed at Buckingham Palace before being moved, along with thousands of other flowers, to Green Park.

Stacey made a video of putting the flowers in place which was showed to children at the school last week.
