A RUNAWAY car rolled down a steep drive at Teignmouth, crossed a road and smashed into a garden wall, writes John Ware.

Luckily nobody was hurt, but Jacky Hughes, whose wall in Yannon Drive took the full impact of the car on Saturday morning, said it was still a big shock.

'There was nobody in the car, which was parked on a neighbour's drive in Higher Yannon, and fortunately there were no other vehicles or pedestrians passing by when it went across the road.
