THREE of Teignbridge’s finest have finally conquered the Talsiker Whisky Atlantic Challenge – and celebrated the massive achievement in style.

Newly-crowned rowing ‘royalty’ Charlie Medwin, 29, Chris Slack, 29, and Lewis Matthews, 30, duly crossed the great ocean this week, a stamina-sapping 38 days after their departure from the Canary Islands.

They joined a select group of heroic seven seas adventurers when they nudged over the finishing line at Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua over the weekend.
