RESTRICTED to rehearsing over the internet via services like Zoom, members from the Newton Abbot, Teignmouth and Torquay branches of The Rock Choir are thrilled to finally get back to doing what they do best – entertaining on-lookers with song and, ultimately, raising money for charity.

This year’s chosen charity is Guide Dogs for the Blind South West which the group has already raised more than £3,000 for but, unsurprisingly, the group wants to continue to raise more and more.

With this in mind, the group will be performing across Teignbridge in the coming weeks in an effort to drum up additional funds from generous patrons and you best believe the festive songs will be sung loud and proud in keeping with the time of year.

The Choir performed in Teignmouth last Saturday and can be seen again tomorrow night (Wednesday) at Newton Abbot’s Clock Tower at 7pm and at Christmas Market in Union Street, Torquay, on December 18 at 11am and 1pm.

The Rock Choir is a leading contemporary choir that offers local weekly rehearsals and performances and is notable for it is generally accepted to be the first no-audition and no-music reading ability choir experience in the UK – everyone and anyone can join and become a member.

Rock Choir was founded by singer and musician, Caroline Redman Lusher in 2005 and to date boasts well over 25,000 members.

Richard Toomer is the choir leader for Newton Abbot, Teignmouth, Torquay, Plymouth and Saltash.
