Drivers in and around Teignbridge will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a holdup of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A38, from 7pm October 16 to 6am December 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Linhay to Goodstone lane closure for S278, junction improvement works. Minor local authority, junction closed, eastbound, traffic diverted via Goodstone junction. Westbound, traffic diverted via A38 westbound to Linhay and return to Goodstone to exit.

And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:

A30, from 8pm October 30 to 4am October 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Fingle Glen lane closure for barrier repairs.

A30, from 8pm October 31 to 4am November 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Whiddon Down lane closure for barrier repairs.

A38, from 10pm October 31 to 5am November 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 eastbound, Clay Lane to Chudleigh lane closure for barrier repair.

A30, from 7pm November 1 to 6am November 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 31 to junction 30 - carriageway closure for structural works. Diversion for A30 via A379, Marsh Barton and A377 or for A38 via A379.

A38, from 8pm November 3 to 6am November 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 both directions Clay Lane to Drumbridges, lane closure for barrier repairs.

A38, from 8pm November 9 to 4am November 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A38 Both Directions Peartree to Dartbridge lane closures for barrier repair.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
