SHIPMATES from Exeter Pirate
Day (EPD) presented a cheque
totalling more than £1,700 to the
Teignmouth RNLI on Sunday.
Coming into its eighth year,
EPD have loyally supported the
essential service the Royal
National Lifeboat Institution provide,
splitting the £1,734.86
raised between Teignmouth and
Exmouth Lifeboat Stations.
Kat CurVicious who has been
involved with the event since it
began said: ‘We are delighted
with the total raised.
‘We’d like to thank all the businesses
who have supported us
and the kind donations from the
public that make EPD the success
it is.’
The crew are hoping to raise
even more funds with their event
on September 16 with piratical
songs lead by Teignmouth’s own
Shanty Singer Steve the Bard,
prize raffle, live music and entertainment
in the evening.
