TEIGNMOUTH will again welcome the world famous aerobatic display team the Red Arrows this summer.

Volunteers running the annual Teignmouth Airshow have confirmed the hugely popular team will be flying over the skies of Teignmouth this summer.

And they will be joined by the RAF Typhoon and the much-loved RAF Lancaster.

This year’s show will take place on Saturday July 6, the highlight of a four-day packed programme of events.

Volunteer Chairman, Dave Matthews expressed his delight that Teignmouth Airshow had once again secured the RAF Red Arrows.

He said: ‘I’m blown away that we’ve managed to secure them for a third year running, we never dreamt that this would have been possible when our volunteers began this journey in 2018, I’m over the moon that Teignmouth will once again be a display location’.

‘However, as always, to ensure this can be achieved the funds need to be secured to host the spectacle.

‘As a community-driven event, organised by a team of volunteers we rely on the generosity of sponsors and supporters to help cover the costs associated.’

The event attracts 30,000 visitors and costs £90,000 a year to run.
