GREAT Western Railway have announced that tickets bought for yesterday (November 21) will be valid for use today (November 22) Despite the good news, CrossCounty Trains have said the lines between Exeter and Tiverton will be closed all day.

The disruption comes after severe flooding caused major damage to many routes around the country, including the mainline into Devon and Cornwall which is blocked in two separate places.

The mainline between London and Bristol Temple Meads is also blocked. Network Rail has teams on site working to alleviate flood water across the Great Western route and passengers can check their journey at www.GWR.com.
