POLICE say they have been deluged with information from the public in their hunt for missing doctor Rose Polge.

Dr Polge, 25, a junior doctor at Torbay Hospital in Torquay, has been the subject of an exhaustive search by the emergency services since her car was found abandoned at Anstey’s Cove, Babbacombe, on Friday evening.

A hooded top, since discovered near the scene, is believed to be an item of her clothing.

Police are urging anyone with information about Dr Polge, originally from Hertfordshire, to quote a new log reference number as part of their inquiries.

Anyone with information should ring 101 and quote log 704 of February 15.
