APPLES can be juiced or prepared for cider at Buckfastleigh Orchard Millennium Green Community Apple Days this weekend.

The presses will be working on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5pm.

A spokesman for the event said: ‘Bring along your own apples and make your own juice using our mill and ten gallon press at the Orchard Millennium Green.

‘We’ll be there pressing apples from the orchard, so come along and help us.’

Juice from the orchard apples will be for sale, with proceeds going to the town’s food bank project.

The spokesman added: ‘It’s a community event so bring food to share for lunch and music and games.

‘Bring your own apples if you have them, and bottles for your juice, too.’
