A WELL-known and popular Teignmouth trader has died after an illness.

Michael (Mike) Dymond, 60, and his family ran the Londis store, Pellew Arcade, and, for a time, the Woodway Stores in higher Woodway Road.

Before that he worked for the Co-op for nearly 30 years as an area manager and manager of the Bank Street supermarket.

Mike Jackman, chairman of the Teignmouth Traders’ Association, described Mr Dymond as ‘a trader through and through with a lifetime’s experience of retailing’.
