A DEBATE tonight between Newton Abbot’s parliamentary candidates has been postponed in the wake of the Manchester terrorist outrage.

Organisers of the cross-party gathering at St Paul’s Church Hall have rescheduled the meeting for next Wednesday, May 31, at the same venue (7.30pm).

A spokesman for the event said: ‘In the light of the appalling events that took place in Manchester on Monday night and the decision of the main parties to suspend campaigning on Tuesday, it seems to us right that we should postpone the hustings that were to take place tonight.’
