AN accusation of stealing from the poor and giving to the rich has been made this week about Teignbridge Council.

The council has been branded ‘the Sheriff of Nottingham’ after a report on the Council Tax Reduction scheme made the authority look like it was ‘taking from the poor to give to the rich’.
