POLICE have promised to step up patrols in the Keyberry Park and Forde Park areas of Newton Abbot after claims these areas were being treated ‘like a race track’.

One concerned resident reported to the police via Twitter: ‘Keyberry Park and Forde Park is becoming a race track in the evenings and weekends, how long before there’s an accident with somebody getting seriously hurt or worse?’

Newton Abbot police responded: ‘We will get some patrols in the area thanks for letting us know.
