PEOPLE will be able to have their bikes security marked in a bid to thwart bicycle theft.
Members of the Teignmouth and Dawlish Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team are holding a bike marking event at Combeinteignhead Village Hall on November 1.
Officers will be on hand from 10am to 12pm.
A spokesperson for the team said: ‘This is an opportunity to meet your local policing team and get your bike marked.
‘Please take this opportunity to raise any concerns you may have and to find out what we are doing to tackle the issues that matter to you.
‘Everyone is welcome and it would be great to see you there’.
Markings mean if someone is caught with a stolen bike, it will be registered and the owner can be traced.
