POLICE are appealing for witnesses to come forward following an assault in a Newton Abbot park last week.

The incident, which occurred at 2pm on Thursday, August 7, involved several juveniles.

One person was left with significant injuries, including a fractured wrist.

A spokesperson for the Newton Abbot Neighbourhood Team said: ‘This area is well visited by members of the public and believed that there may have been individuals who have witnessed the incident.

‘If you were in the park at the time of the incident and may have witnessed it, or have any knowledge of the incident that would be beneficial to the investigation, please contact Devon and Cornwall Police, quoting the reference number: 50250206428.
