Officers say possession of illegal drugs and evidence of drug use were seen in five of the pubs visited.
This followed a number of positive stop and searches.
The operation was carried out on Saturday night when officers from the neighbourhood policing team were joined by a specialist passive drugs dog.
The Pubs Against Drugs operation resulted in possession of illicit drugs and evidence of drug use observed in five of the seven pubs entered,
after a number of positive stop and searches were made.
A police spokesman said: ‘Possession and supply offences will be investigated for several individuals and conversations will be had with licensing on how to support premises to meet their licensing objectives around preventing crime and disorder.’
