POLICE have released a picture of a man they want to speak to in connection with a report of burglary and fraud in Exeter.

It was reported that a woman’s purse containing bank cards, and a quantity of cash was stolen from a property in the Heavitree area of Exeter between 4pm and 5pm on Friday, March 14.

One of the cards was used later to withdraw cash from the woman’s bank account.

‘We are aware that the quality of the image is low, however at this time this is the only image we have and hope that the public may still be able to assist’ a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said.

‘We have located a woman we wanted to speak to in connection with this investigation and she has been eliminated from enquiries with no offences identified’ the spokesperson added.

This follows a photo appeal issued by the force on Tuesday, April 16.
