ARTHUR MORRIS, of

Keyberry Park, Newton

Abbot, writes:

In response to John

and Pearl Northcott’s

letter ‘Wake-up call to

the younger electorate’,

contrary to popular

belief, young people

contribute quite a lot to

this country.

When we aren’t busy

vandalising property or

terrorising the elderly

we can be found

working in a variety of

different jobs.

We pay taxes, drive

cars and even read the

letters page in the local

newspaper. Just like all

the other boring grownups.

There are plenty of

things to be angry about

these days, but young

people exercising their

democratic right to vote

isn’t one of them.

Here are some other

things you could be

angry about instead:

Cuts to the NHS.

Child poverty. Food

banks. Global warming.

Arms sales to Saudi

Arabia. Boris Johnson’s

haircut.

The list goes on.

Why did young

people vote for Jeremy

Corbyn’s Labour Party?

Because we haven’t

given up hope for a

better future.
