Teignmouth’s Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group have started the New Year by publishing the responses to the comments received from the public on the First Draft Plan that was consulted on last May/June.

They are available on the town council website www.teignmouth-devon.gov.uk on the Neighbourhood Plan page and a hard copy will be available for perusal at Bitton House – subject to appropriate COVID precautions.

This is the next step on the way to the finish line for the plan which is currently subject to screening by Teignbridge but should be going out for its next consultation in the not too distant future.

Councillor Joan Atkins, chair of the steering group, says: ‘All the comments received have been read, carefully considered and the steering group have signed off appropriate responses, recorded in this document, as is required in the consultation process.

‘People may not see the answers that they would wish, and may not understand the reasons why, but I’d be happy for them to email me for further explanation.

‘As soon as Teignbridge get back to us we will be making arrangements for the next consultation, taking into account appropriate COVID restrictions. of course. I can’t wait to move this along now.’
