A ‘multi use games area’ (MUGA) pitch and associated fencing and lighting at The Junction Youth Centre in Newton Abbot that will provide a much needed outdoor sports facility for the local community.
The aims is to replace the existing MUGA pitch with a new artificial grass and tarmacadam playing surfaced MUGA pitch including replacement 3m high fencing and renewal of the existing floodlight provision
This is among plans that have been made this week to Teignbridge Council.
Plans have also gone in for a boat storage area with 14 shipping containers at Higher Sandygate, Newton Abbot, and for the change of use of an agricultural building to a hotel at Little Park Farm, Doddiscombsleigh.
While some council services have been suspended as a result of COVID-19, planning applications are submitted to the local councils, and the coronavirus pandemic has not changed that.
Planning departments are still working as usual to validate and to decide upon applications.
