THE developer of a proposed new 255 home ‘bespoke’ housing estate high above Teignmouth, says he has listened to the concerns of residents.

Steve Russell, managing director of Devonshire Homes, told town councillors on Wednesday that the Higher Exeter Road scheme had been tweaked and amended to try to resolve some of the objections from people living on the adjoining Raleigh Road area estate.

The layout is still being worked on before a formal detailed planning application is submitted to Teignbridge Council – outline consent has already been given.

‘The designs of the homes will be bespoke, specially drawn up to fit in with the area – they are not off the shelf,’ he said.
