A CAFE owner fed up with aggressive seagulls stealing his customers' grub has taken to shooting them – with a water pistol.

The birds are plaguing al fresco diners in Teignmouth, and now Mark Riddick, of the Dairy Maid Restaurant, has declared war.

His weapons of choice are giant water pistols which deliver a squirt of cold water to the attackers.
