PENNS Mount Resident Sybil Ayliffe celebrated her 100th birthday last week, in the company of her daughters Diane Twiner and Linda Coulson as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Born on November 30, 1923, Sybil was married to the late farmer, Bill Ayliffe JP of Stover Farm.
A well-known and active member of the community, Sybil was a long-standing member of the Inner Wheel club in Newton Abbot. Serving as Treasurer and President, Sybil contributed to the club and community in countless ways.
Sybil was also a devoted member of the Bovey Tracey Methodist Church.
Moving to Penns Mount this year, Sybil is described by staff as a ‘joy to work with, always having a smile on her face.’
Sybil’s family said: ‘Happy 100th birthday Sybil! Here’s to a life well lived and memories that will be cherished forever.’
