Penn Inn has been reopened to traffic after fears of an electrical explosion earlier this evening, had closed the busy route when a gas pipe and electric cables were severed through.

It is understood that McDonalds - near to where the incident happened - remains cordoned off.Supt Glen Mayhew said in a statement: 'Sainsbury's and Macdonalds remain closed overnight.
