A WOMAN pedestrian was injured in an accident with a car in Newton Abbot this afternoon.

Devon’s air ambulance landed in Baker’s Park as part of the emergency response to the collision in Ashburton Road.

The casualty, who suffered a broken ankle in the bump, was eventually taken to Torbay Hospital by a road ambulance. The accident happened at 3.30pm.
