A TIME capsule containing a snapshot of Teignmouth was buried in the new Pavilions development on Sunday, and will not be opened for 100 years, writes Anna Winston.<

It was the idea of former mayor Cllr David Matthews, who initiated the project during his term of office in 2014-2015. <

Everyone who contributed to the project was invited to the ceremony, which included Teignmouth Brownies, 4th Teignmouth Scout Group, Viv Wilson, and trustees of the Pavilions. The current mayor, Cllr Jacqui Orme and fellow councillors also attended.
