ORANGE Army workers in Dawlish are giving a coastal park a makeover.

They have been busy making the improvements as part of the ongoing work to the sea wall.

South West Rail Resilience Programme says ‘pocket park’ as it is known, near Coastguard Cottages, is being revamped.

A new footpath has been put down, handrail installed and wildflower turf and planting of new shrubs and flowers.

The footpath is open, except for when new surfacing is being laid, but part of the park area remains closed for now while the turf and plants bed in.

The benches have been removed for safekeeping and will be returned when the work is finished.
