Residents are being encouraged to step forward and help shape the future of their community as Hennock Parish Council looks to fill three councillor vacancies.

The council is seeking volunteers to represent the communities of Chudleigh Knighton, Hennock and Teign Village.

The positions will be filled through co-option at upcoming council meetings.

Parish councillors play an important role in local government, helping to make decisions on planning applications, community projects and services that affect residents' daily lives.

They also act as a link between the council and the people they represent.

Council officials say the vacancies offer a valuable opportunity for residents to have their voices heard and contribute to the development of the parish.
