BUCKINGHAM Palace has sent a thank you letter to Teignmouth Town Council for the town’s part in the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations earlier this year.

As part of the event in April residents signed a birthday card for Her Majesty and the card and photos from the event were sent to the palace.

On the royal birthday, residents and councillors gathered in The Triangle to participate in a national beacon lighting event. People enjoyed birthday cake and had a toast to the Queen whilst enjoying live music provided by High Society Band.

The thank you letter includes a message of good wishes to all who participated.
