THOSE pottering through Newton Abbot on Saturday, September 24, were treated to a live dance display courtesy of a ‘Shuffle the Deck’.

The appalachian clog dance group put in a pair of performances afront St Leonards clock tower at 11am and 12.45pm respectively.

Newton Abbot Town Development Manager, Sally Henley, said: ‘Shuffle The Deck have been delighting audiences in Newton Abbot for over a decade now.

‘I was pleased to invite them to perform for the first time since the pandemic, and as part of our program of regular summer Saturday shopper entertainment.

‘It was a really excellent performance and shoppers and visitors were delighted with the music and the dancing at St Leonard’s Tower.

‘I look forward to seeing them again next summer!’

Shuffle the Deck have performed at various events over the years, including the Teignmouth Folk Festival and the Sidmouth Folk Festival to name but two.
