A SERIES of overnight road closures on the A382 near Newton Abbot will get underway this evening (Monday, January 18) to enable final surfacing and road markings to be completed.

Overnight closures will be in place on Ringslade Road to Whitehills Cross each evening from 7pm-6am, starting tonight and continuing until 6am on Thursday (January 21).

Ringslade Road to Forches Cross will then close from 7pm-6am each evening, from Thursday, January 21, until 6am on Saturday, January 23.

Work will then return to Ringslade Road to Whitehills Cross for one night, which will be closed from 7pm on Monday, January 25, and will re-open at 6am the following morning.

The final overnight closure will be from Ringslade Road to Forches Cross from 7pm on Tuesday, January 26, until 6am on Wednesday, January 27.

The road will be fully open during the daytime as well as throughout the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, January 23 and 24.

Access to homes and properties will be maintained for residents who live within the closure.

During the overnight closures traffic will be diverted by the A38 and the A383 Ashburton Road.
