THE local government Ombudsman has thrown out a complaint about the new skate park on Teignmouth seafront.
Barrie Oakhill, who lives nearby, claimed that Teignbridge Council was guilty of maladministration after giving the go ahead for the facility without a planning application and failing to consult properly with residents.
The authority ruled that planning consent for a change of use of the former paddling pool was not required and this has been upheld by the Ombudsman.
She was also satisfied there had been adequate consultation.
