THE number of ‘revenge porn’ cases received by Devon and Cornwall Police in the last six months has been revealed by a Freedom of Information (FOI) request.

The total number of cases of intimate image abuse and revenge porn received by the force between June 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026 was 185.

The number includes offences of sharing or threatening to share intimate photographs or film with intent, as well as those involving the sharing of photographs or film of a person in an intimate state without their consent.

Intimate image abuse can involve someone you know, like a partner or ex-partner. But you may not know the person. It can be done by anyone.
