Number in hospital being treated for Covid falling fast

THE number of people being treated in hospital for Covid has dropped dramtically.

And Covid cases across Teignbridge have dropped by more than 16 per cent in the latest Government figures, however there has been one death.

Between May 14 and 20, 104 people had a confirmed positive test result in Teignbridge. This shows a decrease of -16.1% compared to the previous seven days.

Sadly, between the same dates there has been one death in the district within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports there were 10 patients in hospital with coronavirus on May 17, none of them was on a mechanical ventilator.

The number of beds at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid-19 decreased by 76% in the last four weeks – 28 days ago, there were 41.
