MUSE have a new fan – a long-haired Jack Russell.
Daisy is the ten-year-old pet of Jennifer Samuels, of Teignmouth, who is 'Muse crazy', and made him a hoodie body warmer embroidered with the name of the supergroup.
'I never really knew much about them until they played in Teignmouth in September, and now I am really hooked.
'Daisy feels the cold and I thought she deserved a body warmer with a hood. I also incorporated a lot of Muse emblems on the coat, and she really loves it.'
Ms Samuels, who lives in the town centre, recently snapped up a special signed edition of Muse's single Inspiration from Raven Heart Records, the new music stall in the Teignmouth Indoor Market in Bank Street.
Owners Jan and Roov Andrew, from Kingsteignton, said the CD, which is signed on the front by all three of the trio – Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dom Howard – was only on display for a day.
'We also have a signed copy of Absolution, the new album, for £29.99, and I am sure that will go soon as well. Both records will probably increase in value as they are collectors' items,' said Mrs Andrew.
'We are big fans of Muse and are selling a lot of their records at the moment. We have tried to display as much Muse memorabilia as possible.
'Trade in the market has been picking up since it opened recently, and we will also sell any CDs by other local bands at cost price.'
Mr Andrew remembers giving Muse one of their first public gigs back in the 90s.
'I was playing in a band, Cause for Concern, and we offered Muse the support spot when we played in the Railway Inn at Torquay.
'Our band has folded now, but Muse have gone on to world fame, and it is great seeing them so successful.'
