A DRAWING by one of the country’s most notorious criminals is going up for auction at a charity event in Newton Abbot.

Charles Bronson, once described as the most violent prisoner in Britain, has donated one of his sketches to the Torbay Bikers For Kids charity.

The drawing is signed Charles Salvador as he changed his name in 2014 in tribute to his favourite artist Salvador Dali and to distance himself from his violent reputation having spent many years in high security prisons.

His works have been publicly exhibited and have won him multiple awards.

The artwork for auction at tomorrow’s Christmas fundraiser also features a personal message on the back which he has signed as Charles Bronson.

A spokesman for the charity said the drawing is considered particularly rare. As it is signed as Bronson, it is known to be highly collectible. A reserve price of £200 has been put on the sketch.

Tomorrow’s event is being held at Forde Hall in Brunel Road from 7pm.

There will be live music from Audius Maximus, a licensed bar, food and a raffle.

TB4K is a charitable community fundraising group of bikers, trikers and motorcycle enthusiasts who raise money to purchase items to help improve the lives of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children in Torbay and South Devon.
