With 14 categories to choose from, including team and individual prizes, the deadline for nominations is midnight on Friday, September 23.

Those shortlisted will then be invited to this year’s Sports Personality Awards, sponsored by Kitsons Solicitors, held on Friday, December 2 at the Langstone Cliff Hotel, Dawlish Warren.

Teignbridge Sports Personality of the Year has become one of the largest events of its kind. It recognises and rewards a wide range of athletes, teams, volunteers, coaches and unsung heroes for their hard work and dedication to sport, health and physical activity in many local communities across the district.

Businesses are also being encouraged to get involved, with category sponsorship available.

In return for sponsorship businesses will receive:

Breeze FM radio advert which will feature up to four times a day;

Social media coverage on Twitter and Facebook via Teignbridge’s Leisure pages;

Two invitations to the awards evening;

Company coverage throughout the awards;

Company logo on the programme;

Company logo on the lectern signage and backdrop for all the professional photographs – featured in the local papers, social media and council’s website.

‘As we have seen in previous years, there are lots of people out there who work tirelessly, often giving their own time for nothing, and we would love to see them recognised for their efforts.
