Monday is swimming day for pupils at Dunsford Community Academy.
During the summer a qualified instructor visits every week to teach the children in the school’s heated outdoor pool.
Headteacher Liam O’Sullivan said: "Swimming is an important life skill and we are very grateful to our PTFA for their support in making weekly lessons possible for all of our children.
“We are very fortunate to have a heated pool for the pupils to use, and the children really enjoy the sessions. It gives them valuable time in the water each week.”
The school is part of the Learning Academy Partnership, whose CEO Tracey Cleverley said: “It’s a joy to hear about the range of opportunities children at Dunsford are experiencing. “
