A Newton Abbot man has admitted attacking and falsely imprisoning a woman in the town.
Matthew Harris, aged 28, of Wildwood Crescent, Newton Abbot, pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm and false imprisonment when he appeared at Exeter Crown Court.
Both offences took place against the same woman. The false imprisonment was in December last year and the assault was in January this year.
Recorder Mr Martin Meeke, QC, adjourned the case for a probation pre sentence report and released him on bail to his current address in Penzance, Cornwall.
